Erläuterungen

"Squares", also Quadrate, lassen sich oftmals im Schaffen von Sam Francis nachweisen. Hier beherrscht ein schwarzes mit expressivem Pinselduktus gemaltes Quadrat die Komposition, in das der Künstler gelbe Tropfen als akzentuierter Kontrast fallen lässt
