Commentaires

"Squares" can often be found in the work of Sam Francis. Here, the composition is dominated by a black square painted with an expressive brushstroke, into which the artist drops yellow drops as an accentuated contrast.

Erläuterungen

"Squares", also Quadrate, lassen sich oftmals im Schaffen von Sam Francis nachweisen. Hier beherrscht ein schwarzes mit expressivem Pinselduktus gemaltes Quadrat die Komposition, in das der Künstler gelbe Tropfen als akzentuierter Kontrast fallen lässt
