    Comments

According to Chadzis, canoeing was a popular pastime of the male members of the Luksch family. For example, in 1921, a canoeing tour of several days by her two eldest sons with three friends from Hamburg to Lauenburg through the Elbe-Trave Canal is documented. In this context, the artist created a series of ink drawings, some of which she also turned into lithographs and which served as illustrations for the publication of Dr. Alfred Korns Kanufahrtenspiegel, published in 1921
