Sheet with studio and printer's traces. In very good condition
In 'Strandlandschaft mit Wäscherinnen' a woman washing clothes can be seen on the left. The rough woodcut style emphasises the plastic effect of the scene without sentimentality. Instead of an idyll, an image of quiet effort and the presence of a burdensome everyday life emerges. Nature and humans appear as one in a timeless, calm cycle of work and environment.
An early impression, hand-printed by the artist.

Blatt mit Atelier- und Druckspuren. In sehr guter Erhaltung
