The paper browned and with light-struck area and backed tears in the lower and left margin. In good condition
Through an acquaintance, Munch had access to a hospital where patients with syphilis were treated. This is the counterpart to 'In der Klinik' (see lot 807). The examining doctor on the right is the same man. Very rare lithograph, printed by Auguste Clot in Paris.
An amicable agreement was reached with the heirs of Curt Glaser, represented by the Berlin law firm 'S+N Rechtsanwälte'. The current sale is taking place with the consent of the heirs of Curt Glaser and is therefore free from any claims. The amicable agreement has been recorded in the Lost Art Database of the German Lost Art Foundation.
