    Comments

    Harry Graf Kessler (1868-1937) was a great patron of Munch. He was the director of the Museum of Art and Design in Weimar from 1903, and was also one of the co-founders of the journal PAN (see also lot 777).

    Trial proof printed by A. Liebmann Book and Lithographic Printing in Berlin, with an additional profile portrait in the upper right corner.

    Harry Graf Kessler (1868-1937), ab 1903 Direktor im Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Weimar und einer der Mitgründer der Zeitschrift PAN (vgl. auch Los 777), war ein wichtiger Förderer Munchs.
