Water plays a significant role in the work of Roman Signer and is among his most important materials in his installations. The present drawing depicts such a water object or water sculpture. In this, water is pumped under pressure onto an object, which is propelled into the air by the backflow. The dynamism is almost tangible.

Wasser spielt im Werk von Roman Signer eine bedeutende Rolle und zählt in seinen Installationen zu seinen wichtigsten Materialien. Bei der vorliegenden Zeichnung handelt es sich um die Darstellung eines solchen Wasserobjekts oder einer Wasserskulptur. In dieser fliesst durch eine Pumpe mit Druck Wasser auf ein Objekt, das durch den Rückstau in die Luft gestossen wird. Die Dynamik ist förmlich spürbar.
