This edition is a three-dimensional reinterpretation of a gouache of the same title from 1977. The edition comprises 350 copies (total edition 385 copies) and was published by Jemelton Ltd., London. It was cast by Venturi Arte, Bologna.
Salvador Dalí created his first three-dimensional works from found objects as early as the 1930s. Later, he recreated so-called "classical Figures" by giving them a surrealist touch, for example the "Venus of Milo", which Dalí equipped with drawers.

Diese Edition ist eine dreidimensionale Reinterpretation einer Gouache desselben Titels von 1977. Die Auflage beträgt 350 Exemplare (Gesamtauflage 385 Exemplare) und wurde von Jemelton Ltd., London, verlegt. Gegossen wurde sie von Venturi Arte, Bologna.
Salvador Dalí schuf bereits in den 1930er-Jahren erste dreidimensionale Arbeiten aus gefundenen Objekten. Später rekreierte er sogenannte "klassische Figuren", indem er ihnen einen surrealistischen Touch verlieh, man denke hier zum Beispiel an die "Venus von Milo", die Dalí mit Schubfächern versah.
