Laid down on Japan. Sheet folded several times. At the fold lines and sheet edges with minimal paper loss. In good and fresh condition
On the poster, Toulouse-Lautrec depicts the singer Aristide Bruant (1851-1923), who was among the first artists to take an interest in Lautrec's work from 1886 onwards. In total, four advertising posters were created for the singer (Wittrock P4, P5, P9 and P10). The present work advertises Bruant's performance at the "Eldorado", a café-concert with over 900 seats on Boulevard de Strasbourg, Paris. For the previous performance at the "Ambassadeur", a café-concert at Avenue Gabriel 3, Toulouse-Lautrec had already designed an advertising poster with the same subject, identical size and colour arrangement, but depicted in reverse.

Auf Japan aufgezogen. Blatt mehrfach gefaltet.
