    Condition

    With light marks margin, with a vertical crease in the centre of the sheet, slight discolouration at the extreme right edge, traces of old mounting on the reverse. Overall in very fine printing quality and condition

    Comments

    One of the few trial proofs before the edition for the publication "Max Jacob, Saint Matorel", published by Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler in 1911. The illustrated book combined four full-page cubist etchings, including the present subject.

    Mit Lichtrand, mit einem vertikalen Knick in der Mitte des Blattes, leichte Verfärbungen am äussersten rechten Rand, rückseitig mit Spuren alter Montierungen. Insgesamt in sehr schöner Druckqualität und Erhaltung

    Erläuterungen

    Einer der wenigen Probedrucke vor den Auflagen zur Publikation "Max Jacob, Saint Matorel", herausgegeben von Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler im Jahr 1911. Das illustrierte Buch vereinte vier blattgrosse kubistische Radierungen, darunter das vorliegende Sujet.
