Depicted is the view from Harder Kulm onto the "Bödeli" around Interlaken. Paul Klee often stayed at the Hotel "Waldrand" in Beatenberg above the right shore of Lake Thun, which at that time was run by the Frick siblings. Klee's mother was a née Frick.

Dargestellt ist der Blick vom Harder Kulm auf das "Bödeli" um Interlaken. Paul Klee weilte oft im Hotel "Waldrand" in Beatenberg ob dem rechten Ufer des Thunersees, das in dieser Zeit von den Geschwistern Frick geführt wurde. Die Mutter Klees war eine geborene Frick.
