Comments

Depicted is Davos Platz with the distinctive church tower of St. Johann. In the foreground, the power poles and the Landwasser are visible. An extremely rare etching, with only two examples known to Gercken. On the reverse, there is a fragment of a female nude, a drawing probably dating to around 1908.

Erläuterungen

Dargestellt ist Davos Platz mit dem markanten Kirchturm von St. Johann. Im Vordergrund sind die Strommasten und das Landwasser zu erkennen. Eine äusserst seltene Radierung, Gercken sind lediglich zwei Exemplare bekannt. Rückseitig ist ein Fragment eines Frauenaktes zu sehen, eine Zeichnung, die wohl um 1908 zu datieren ist.
