The small farmhouse with a hipped roof is the so-called "Lydiahaus", also known as "Näijere-Huus", located in the immediate vicinity of Amiet's estate. It is the parental home of Amiet's adopted daughter Lydia (née Friedli, 1896-1976). In the foreground on the left, a small rose tree can be seen in Amiet's garden.
