On Thursday, 24 June 1965, Picasso created the present tile, among other works. His fruitful collaboration with and Suzanne and Georges Ramié of the Madoura studios in Vallauris resulted in numerous beautiful pieces, most of which were produced in editions. However, unique pieces created by Picasso, such as the work offered here, are rare. Picasso also painted faces on the reverse.

Am 24. Juni 1965, einem Donnerstag, schuf Picasso neben anderen Arbeiten die vorliegende Kachel. Die fruchtbare Zusammenarbeit zwischen Picasso und Suzanne und Georges Ramié der Ateliers Madoura in Vallauris führte zu zahlreichen wunderschönen Arbeiten, die meist in Auflagen produziert wurden. Selten sind hingegen die von Picasso geschaffenen Unikate, wie das hier angebotene Werk. Die Rückseite ist ebenfalls von Picasso mit Gesichtern bemalt.
