Brilliant proof before the text. The paper somewhat browned, with surrounding margin

Comments

In contrast to the book edition of 1517, the proof still shows Schäuflein's monogram and the artist's mark of the small shovel. The headdress of the standing figure on the right is also changed in the edition print.

Brillanter Probedruck vor dem Text. Das Papier etwas verbräunt, mit umlaufendem Rand

Erläuterungen

Im Unterschied zur Buchausgabe von 1517 zeigt der Probedruck noch Schäufeleins Monogramm und das Künstlerzeichen der kleinen Schaufel. Auch die Kopfbedeckung der stehenden Figur rechts wird im Auflagendruck verändert.
