Letterpress print on laid paper with watermark "Triangle with flower" (Meder watermark 127)
39.1x27.1 cm, sheet size
The text of the imprint is mentioned under Meder 207
Colnaghi, London (stock number C.18579)
Auction Galerie Kornfeld, Bern, 1998, lot 62
The Eberhard W. Kornfeld Collection, Bern, Lugt 913b
Preserved fresh and untouched
In the book edition of "The Life of the Virgin Mary", the imprint can be found below the illustration of "The Glorification of the Virgin" (Meder 207) and is often cut away. A proof of the set text in the upper third of a full sheet was not known until this sheet appeared in our auction in 1998 and is probably unique.

Colnaghi, London (Lagernummer C.18579)
Auktion Galerie Kornfeld, Bern, 1998, Los 62
Slg. Eberhard W. Kornfeld, Bern, Lugt 913b
