Comments

The drawing is a study for the gouache "Portrait Frau Prof. Freytag", c. 1930, which is in the Museum zu Allerheiligen in Schaffhausen (inv. no. B 3399). It depicts the widow of Albert Freytag, a professor at the Zurich School of Arts and Crafts, with whom Meyer lived at Kilchbergstrasse 9 in Zurich-Wollishofen from 1928 to 1932.

Erläuterungen

Die Zeichnung ist eine Studie zur Gouache "Portrait Frau Prof. Freytag", um 1930, die sich im Museum zu Allerheiligen in Schaffhausen befindet (Inv.-Nr. B 3399). Dargestellt ist die Witwe von Albert Freytag, einem Professor an der Zürcher Kunstgewerbeschule, bei der Meyer an der Kilchbergstrasse 9 in Zürich-Wollishofen von 1928 bis 1932 wohnte.
