Impeccable condition
Between 1959 and 1964, Pablo Picasso created around 40 works inspired by Édouard Manet's painting "Le déjeuner sur l'herbe". It is a series of variations created in various artistic techniques such as printmaking, painting, drawing and ceramics. In this case, the work is part of a series of seven plates created from plaster moulds cast from original linocut plates. They were intended for transfer onto paper.

Pablo Picasso schuf zwischen 1959 und 1964 rund 40 Werke, die von Édouard Manets Gemälde "Le déjeuner sur l’herbe" inspiriert sind. Es handelt sich um eine Reihe von Variationen, die in verschiedenen künstlerischen Disziplinen wie Druckgraphik, Malerei, Zeichnung und Keramik entstanden sind. Im vorliegenden Fall ist die Arbeit Teil einer Serie von sieben Platten, die aus dem Abguss originaler Linolschnittplatten auf Gipsmatrizen entstanden sind. Sie waren für die Übertragung auf Papier bestimmt.
