On wove paper, with watermark "ARCHES", with margins. Slightly browned and with lightstruck. Single grip marks and a professionally backed tear centre left. Single stains in the paper

Comments

The inscription "Lacourière" can be read in reverse at the top left, suggesting that the reverse of a copper plate was used. The front was used by Aldo Crommelynck in the Lacourière studio for an illustration of a work by Van Gogh.

Oben links ist spiegelverkehrt der Schriftzug "Lacourière" zu lesen, was auf die Verwendung der Rückseite einer Kupferplatte schliessen lässt. Die Vorderseite wurde von Aldo Crommelynck im Atelier Lacourière für eine Abbildung eines Werkes von Van Gogh verwendet
