"The Raven" is a narrative poem by the American author Edgar Allan Poe, which was first published on 29 January 1845 in the New York newspaper "Evening Mirror". In 18 stanzas and 108 verses, this poem, considered to be one of the most famous poems in American literature, describes the mysterious midnight visit of a raven to a desperate man whose lover has died. Stéphane Mallarmé translated the text into French and Edouard Manet created the illustrations. The planned edition was 240 copies, although not all copies were printed. Complete copies are very rare.

"The Raven" (Der Rabe) ist ein erzählendes Gedicht des amerikanischen Autors Edgar Allan Poe, das erstmals am 29. Januar 1845 in der New Yorker Zeitung "Evening Mirror" veröffentlicht wurde. Es schildert in 18 Strophen und 108 Versen den geheimnisvollen mitternächtlichen Besuch eines Raben bei einem verzweifelten Mann, dessen Geliebte verstorben ist, und gilt als eines der bekanntesten Gedichte der amerikanischen Literatur. Stéphane Mallarmé hat den Text ins Französische übersetzt, Edouard Manet schuf die Illustrationen dazu. Die geplante Auflage betrug 240 Exemplare, wobei wohl nicht alle Exemplare gedruckt wurden. Komplette Exemplare sind sehr selten.
