    Comments

In 1947, the René Drouin Gallery in Paris organised a major retrospective of works by Alberto Magnelli, through which the artist suddenly became a master of abstract art. In the foreword to the exhibition, Hans Arp wrote: "[...] In front of stacked and probably transparent panels, an upswing and a gliding flight is created, comparable to the movements of acrobats when they fly from one trapeze to another."
