In 1901, the artist is expecting her first child together with her husband Richard Luksch, who is born on 8 May: Peter Luksch. The artist, who at this time is resident in Vienna and already has her first successes in the Vienna Secession, looks the viewer in the eye, confident in her posture and yet somewhat uncertain in her gaze.
