Niki de Saint Phalle created the first Nanas, female figures with voluptuous forms, as early as 1964. In the editions, the artist often combined the funny creatures with pronounced breasts and coloured frames with something useful, here with a flower vase.

The present Nana angel was published in three colour variants in an edition of 50 copies each plus 10 artist's copies by Édition Gérard Haligon, Mandres-les-Roses

Bereits 1964 schuf Niki de Saint Phalle die ersten Nanas, weibliche Figuren mit voluptuösen Formen. Die lustigen Wesen mit ausgeprägten Brüsten und farbigen Fassungen verband die Künstlerin in den Editionen oftmals mit etwas Nützlichem, hier mit einer Blumenvase

Der vorliegende Nana-Engel wurde in drei Farbvarianten in einer Auflage von jeweils 50 Exemplaren plus 10 Künstlerexemplaren von Édition Gérard Haligon, Mandres-les-Roses, herausgegeben
