Stamp on the reverse confirming the authenticity of Silvio Berthoud, the artist's grandson.

Condition

On wove paper (papier vélin), in very fine condition. On the reverse with another sketch of the same depiction, but tilted to the right.

Comments

Study for the two oil paintings "L'estate" (Müller/Radlach CR nos. 1922.13 and 13/a). The artist took up the theme again in 1929, the sketch on the reverse with the nude to the right, appears in the oil painting "Summer, Kneeling Female Nude" (Müller/Radlach CR no. 1929.09)

Erläuterungen

Studie zu den beiden Ölbildern "L'estate" (Müller/Radlach WK Nrn. 1922.13 und 13/a). Der Künstler hat das Thema 1929 nochmals aufgenommen, die rückseitige Skizze mit dem Akt nach rechts, kommt im Ölbild "Sommer, Kniender weiblicher Akt" vor (Müller/Radlach WK Nr. 1929.09)
