On handmade paper, paper browned, with light margins. On the reverse a study of a sitting youth in pencil.

Comments

The drawing is a study of the central figure in the background of the painting "Das Knöchelspiel" (The Ankle Play) of 1864 (Kuthy/Bhattacharya CR no. 82). The drawing on the reverse could be a variation on the youth sitting on the right side of the same painting
