Das vorliegende Aquarell zählt zum Spätwerk des Künstlers, entstanden in Zürich im Jahr seiner Pensionierung, nach einer äusserst aktiven beruflichen Zeit als Direktor der Kunstgewerbeschule und des Kunstgewerbemuseums, als Leiter der Textilfachschule und des Rietbergmuseums. Das vorliegende Aquarell ist eine perfekt in Formen und Farben abgestimmte, geometrisch-abstrakte Komposition
