The last, highly significant realisation of an illustrated book whose lithographs were created by Marc Chagall in the studios of Fernand Mourlot in Paris between 1970 and 1974. Chagall illustrated the 24 cantos of Homer partly with one, two or three coloured lithographs. Certainly one of the most important illustrations of the Odyssey by a 20th century artist
