Comments

Otto Dix dealt with the theme of "murder/murder of pleasure" over several years. From the beginning of World War I until the 1920s, murder was a central and recurring theme in his work. This watercolour is an impressive example from this important group of works

Otto Dix beschäftigte sich mit der Thematik "Mord/Lustmord" über mehrere Jahre. Seit Beginn des I. Weltkrieges bis in die zwanziger Jahre war der Mord ein zentrales und wiederkehrendes Thema in seinem Werk. Das vorliegende Aquarell ist ein eindrückliches Beispiel aus dieser wichtigen Werkgruppe
