The "Dancing Couple" signed, inscribed and dated by the artist in pencil at lower left "Elena Luksch-Makowsky / Birgitt Grossmann / 1926 2 February", numbered "IX" in Roman numerals in the lower left corner. The "Portrait" signed and dated in the lower right corner "Elena Luksch- / Makowsky / 1926 1 February".
From the artist's estate, by inheritance from family estate to private collection Switzerland
Both sheets on wove paper (papier vélin), probably from a sketchbook and originally mounted on black cardboard, with its remnants on the reverse.

Beide Blätter auf Velin, wohl aus einem Skizzenbuch stammend und ursprünglich auf einen schwarzen Karton aufgezogen, rückseitig mit dessen Resten
