Signed in pencil at lower left by the artist "Elena Luksch- / Makowsky", on the right with the place and date "Juan / les / Pins Oct. 10 / 1948".
From the artist's estate, by inheritance from family estate to private collection Switzerland
On wove paper (papier vélin), mounted on light cardboard, the colours fresh, in nice condition.
The artist knew the Côte d'Azur very well: between 1890-1893 she spent the winter months in Nice with her mother and siblings, and after a return visit in 1930, she spent several months in Nice and Juan-les-Pins in 1948 for family reasons.

Auf Velin, auf leichten Karton aufgezogen, die Farben frisch, in schöner Erhaltung
Die Côte d'Azur kannte die Künstlerin sehr gut: Bereits zwischen 1890-1893 verbrachte sie die Wintermonate jeweils mit ihrer Mutter und den Geschwistern in Nizza, nach einem erneuten Besuch im Jahr 1930 folgte 1948 ein weiterer, familiär bedingter, mehrmonatiger Aufenthalt in Nizza und Juan-les-Pins
