Condition

On wove paper (papier vélin), with a programme on the reverse. Left margin with brown dots of colour and crease through the sheet, hardly visible on the front side.

Comments

Made in New York, where he had been staying with his wife since autumn 1915. The drawing is on the back of a programme of readings given by Jean-Sully Mounet, called Mounet-Sully (1841-1916), among others, at a concert of the "Garde Républicaine".

Entstanden in New York, wo er sich mit seiner Frau seit Herbst 1915 aufhielt. Die Zeichnung ist auf der Rückseite eines Programmes von Lesungen, die u.a. von Jean-Sully Mounet, genannt Mounet-Sully (1841-1916) vorgetragen wurden anlässlich eines Konzertes der "Garde Républicaine"
