Signed and dated "bill / 1964-67" in red felt-tip pen on the reverse of the canvas. Signed and inscribed "max bill Zürich" in felt-tip pen on the stretcher and titled "verdichtung aus gelb" and dated "1964-67" in red ballpoint below. In the upper corner the artist has marked the hanging direction with arrows and inscribed "oben / haut top".

The work in very fine condition, in the original white frame. Slightly rubbed in the green

Rückseitig auf der Leinwand in rotem Filzstift signiert und datiert "bill / 1964-67". Auf dem Chassis in Filzstift signiert und bezeichnet "max bill Zürich" sowie betitelt "verdichtung aus gelb" und darunter in rotem Kugelschreiber datiert "1964-67". In der oberen Ecke vom Künstler mit Pfeilen die Hängerichtung eingezeichnet und beschriftet "oben / haut top"

Es gibt also keine gegenstandslose oder ungegenständliche Kunst, sie wäre dann ohne Inhalt, und infolgedessen wäre es dann auch keine Kunst, sondern leere Dekoration."
