    On Velin, tanned. With foxing spots and traces of an old mounting on the back. Freshly coloured. Some restored areas

    Comments

    The sheet is very well documented by a photograph in the 1936 exhibition at the Leicester Galleries. Moore had been head of the sculpture department at the Chelsea School of Art since the early 1930s. An impressive drawing with five cubistic-looking sculptures

    Das Blatt ist durch eine Fotografie in der Ausstellung 1936 in den Leicester Galleries sehr gut dokumentiert. Moore war seit den frühen 1930er Jahren als Leiter des Bildhauerei-Bereichs an der Chelsea School of Art tätig. Eine eindrückliche Zeichnung mit fünf kubistisch anmutenden Plastiken
