    Comments

From the end of the 1920s Miró created his first surrealist sculptures and objects, "peinture-objets" and "objets trouvés". From 1966 onwards, he created bronzes that were based on the typical formal language of his paintings. Heads, "têtes", can be found again and again; in 1975 he even dedicated a portrait to the art critic and important publisher Tériade (i.e. Stratis Eleftheriadis). The model was a ceramic from 1972, "Tête d'Ubu". A typical and very beautifully worked bronze with a wonderful patina, cast in an edition of 8 copies and 3 copies for the artist
