The sheet depicts a piano evening at Thadée Natanson's (1868-1951), the publisher of "La Revue blanche". At the piano sits his wife, the legendary Misia Godebska (1872-1950). On the left among the listeners, one can recognize the pianist Alfred Cortot with monocle (1877-1962) and the painter Edouard Vuillard with a beard (1868-1940).
