    Comments

    The edition appeared in 1899 in "Germinal", the "Album de 20 gravures originales", published by La Maison moderne.

    The sheet depicts a piano evening at Thadée Natanson's (1868-1951), the publisher of "La Revue blanche". At the piano sits his wife, the legendary Misia Godebska (1872-1950). On the left among the listeners, one can recognize the pianist Alfred Cortot with monocle (1877-1962) and the painter Edouard Vuillard with a beard (1868-1940).

    Die Auflage erschien 1899 in "Germinal", dem "Album de 20 gravures originales", das von La Maison moderne herausgegeben wurde.

    Auf dem Blatt ist ein Klavierabend bei Thadée Natanson (1868-1951), dem Herausgeber von "La Revue blanche" festgehalten. Am Klavier sitzt seine Frau, die legendäre Misia Godebska (1872-1950). Links unter den Zuhörern erkennt man den Pianisten Alfred Cortot mit Monokel (1877-1962) und den Maler Edouard Vuillard mit Bart (1868-1940).
