"La Revue blanche" was a literary and artistic magazine published in Paris between 1889 and 1903 by the brothers Alexandre, Thaddée and Louis-Alfred Natanson. Pierre Bonnard's lithographic poster for the magazine shows an elegantly dressed lady holding a copy of the magazine in question and a mischievous paperboy, both with flushed faces. The female model was probably the wife of Thadée Natanson, Misia Sert, who was portrayed by many artists of the time. In the background, the monstrous silhouette of a dandy in a top hat lurks in front of a wall covered with the magazine. One of the most famous posters of the turn of the century, printed by Edward Ancourt.

"La Revue blanche" war eine literarisch-künstlerische Zeitschrift, die in Paris zwischen 1889 und 1903 von den Gebrüdern Alexandre, Thaddée und Louis-Alfred Natanson herausgegeben wurde. Pierre Bonnards lithographisches Plakat für die Zeitschrift zeigt eine elegant gekleidete Dame, die ein Exemplar der betreffenden Zeitschrift in der Hand hält, und einen schelmischen Zeitungsjungen, beide mit gerötetem Gesicht. Das weibliche Modell war wohl die Ehefrau von Thadée Natanson, Misia Sert, die von vielen Kunstschaffenden der Zeit porträtiert wurde. Im Hintergrund lauert die monströse Silhouette eines Dandys mit Zylinder vor einer mit der Zeitschrift tapezierten Wand. Eines der berühmtesten Plakate der Jahrhundertwende, gedruckt von Edward Ancourt.
