Commentaires

The present work is a large and extremely elaborate stone sculpture by Édouard Marcel Sandoz. With a keen eye, he observes the animals to be depicted and reproduces them in the sculpture down to the most precise detail. With different treatments of the stone surface, he achieves various optical effects on the Mexican onyx.
