On strong wove paper (papier vélin), nice impression, with the Remarque with bister plate tone.

Commentaires

An early print before the plate was steeled, the plate corners still square. The remarque inked in Bister. The sheet is a proof; the stiffened plate was eventually used as an illustration for Ovid's Metamorphoses

Erläuterungen

Ein früher Abzug vor der Verstählung der Platte, die Plattenecken noch rechtwinklig. Die Remarque in Bister eingefärbt. Das Blatt ist ein Probedruck; die verstählte Platte wurde schliesslich als Illustration für Ovids Metamorphosen verwendet
