Perfect impression of two stones, freshly coloured, mounted on canvas, with margins around the image, in very nice condition

Commentaires

In 1891, the brothers Thadée, Alexandre and Louis Alfred Natanson founded the literary and art magazine "La Revue blanche", which quickly became the mouthpiece and flagship of the avant-garde of the time and was artistically influenced by Toulouse-Lautrec, Bonnard, Vuillard and Vallotton. Misia Natanson, Thadée Natanson's wife, depicted on the poster as a skater, maintained a "salon" in her luxurious flat during these years, where young artists and literary figures came and went. The edition of the poster was certainly high, but only a few well-preserved copies exist today. An icon of poster art of the time period around 1900

Erläuterungen

Die Gebrüder Thadée, Alexandre und Louis Alfred Natanson gründeten 1891 die Literatur- und Kunst-Zeitschrift "La Revue blanche", die schnell zum Sprachrohr und zum Aushängeschild der damaligen Avantgarde avancierte und künstlerisch von Toulouse-Lautrec, Bonnard, Vuillard und Vallotton geprägt wurde. Die auf dem Plakat als Schlittschuhläuferin dargestellte Misia Natanson, der Frau von Thadée Natanson, unterhielt in diesen Jahren in ihrer luxuriösen Wohnung einen "Salon", in dem die jungen Künstler und Literaten ein- und ausgingen. Die Auflage des Plakates war sicherlich hoch, es existieren heute aber nur noch wenige, gut erhaltene Exemplare. Eine Ikone der Plakatkunst der Zeitspanne um 1900
