Condition

On wove paper (papier vélin), pastel not fixed. Very small loss of paper at upper left margin, pastel chalk slightly rubbed at all paper margins. At the back side with traces of an old mounting. Fresh in colour and in a very good overall condition

Commentaires

Armand Guillaumin often stayed in Crozant, a small village in the Creuse, from 1892 onwards. Painted in August 1920, this pastel with its bright colours shows the hilly landscape near La Querlière, a village of which houses can be seen in the background of the work

Zustand

Auf Velin, Pastellkreide nicht fixiert. Am oberen linken Blattrand ganz kleiner Papierverlust, an allen Papierrändern Pastellkreide leicht berieben. Rückseitig mit Spuren einer alten Montierung. In sehr guter und farbfrischer Gesamterhaltung

Erläuterungen

Armand Guillaumin weilte ab 1892 oft in Crozant, einem kleinem Dorf in der Creuse. Das im August 1920 entstandene Pastell mit seinen leuchtenden Farben zeigt die hügelige Landschaft bei La Querlière, einem Dorf, von welchem Häuser im Hintergrund des Werkes ersichtlich sind
