Commentaires

Henri Laurens is considered the most important French sculptor in the first half of the 20th century. Following the Cubists, he created post-Cubist sculptures in an organic formal language and in the 1920s turned increasingly to figurative representation again. "Femme assise" is one of the charming small sculptures created at that time.

Henri Laurens gilt als der bedeutendste französische Bildhauer in der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts.
