Very nice deep black, transparent print on vellum, before all inscription. Proof, in very nice condition, traces of old hinges in the upper outer paper margin on the reverse side.
Four plates, originally intended for the series "Los Proverbios", only reappeared at the end of the 19th century and were published with inscription, in the magazine "L'Art". For the luxury edition of "L'Art", a small edition was published before the inscription. The proofs on vellum are rare. The 4 copperplates came into the possession of the Sagot-Le Garrec Gallery in Paris from 1907 onwards.

Sehr schöner tiefschwarzer, transparent druckender Abzug auf Pergament, vor aller Schrift. Probedruck, in sehr schöner Erhaltung, rückseitig im oberen äusseren Papierrand Spuren von alten Scharnieren
Vier Platten, ursprünglich vorgesehen für die Folge "Los Proverbios", tauchten erst Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts wieder auf und wurden mit Schrift, in der Zeitschrift "L'Art" publiziert. Für die Luxusausgabe von "L'Art" wurde eine kleine Auflage vor der Schrift publiziert. Die Probedrucke auf Pergament sind selten. Die 4 Platten kamen ab 1907 in den Besitz der Galerie Sagot-Le Garrec in Paris
