The last, highly significant realisation of an illustrated book whose lithographs Chagall created in the years between 1970 and 1974 in the studios of Fernand Mourlot in Paris. Chagall illustrated the 24 hymns from Homer partly with one, two or three coloured lithographs. Certainly one of the most important illustrations of the Odyssey by a 20th century artist
