Nicolas de Staël is considered one of the most important representatives of abstract, non-objective art in France. In this early painting, which was created in Paris, the first beginnings of the spatial compositions/landscapes that became important in de Staël's work from the 1950s onwards can be seen. A beautiful composition, partly painted in a very impasto manner

Nicolas de Staël gilt als einer der wichtigsten Vertreter der abstrakten, gegenstandslosen Kunst in Frankreich. Im vorliegenden frühen, in Paris entstandenen, Gemälde sind erste Ansätze zu den Raumkompositionen/Landschaften angelegt, die im Werk de Staëls ab den 1950er Jahren wichtig werden. Eine schöne Komposition, zum Teil sehr pastos gemalt
