Commentaires

This charming landscape with tree belongs to the series of tree landscapes painted around 1893/1894 with the trees placed on a high horizon line. The exciting pictorial division of the vertical-format work is characterised by a meadow area bordered by the high horizon with asymmetrically placed trees and shrubs and by a sky zone enlivened by clouds

Erläuterungen

Die reizvolle Landschaft mit Baum gehört in die Reihe der um 1893/1894 entstandenen Baumlandschaften mit den auf einer hohen Horizontlinie platzierten Bäumen. Die spannungsvolle Bildaufteilung des hochformatigen Werkes zeichnet sich aus durch eine vom hohen Horizont begrenzte Wiesenfläche mit asymmetrisch platzierten Bäumen und Sträuchern und durch eine von Wolken belebte Himmelszone
