Commentaires

The painting is colourful and executed in an impulsive brushstroke, which is typical of Amiet's works of the early 1920s. In the present work, Amiet richly combined the floral still life with objects such as another vase, a bowl, two lidded boxes, all of which are placed on a red and white striped tablecloth. In addition, pictures hanging on the wall in the background are visible

Erläuterungen

Das Gemälde ist farbenfroh und in einer impulsiven Pinselführung ausgeführt, was typisch für Amiets Arbeiten der frühen 20er Jahre ist. Amiet kombinierte im vorliegenden Werk das Blumenstillleben reichlich mit Gegenständen wie einer weiteren Vase, einer Schale, zwei Deckeldosen, welche alle auf einem rot-weiss gestreiften Tischtuch platziert sind. Zusätzlich sind im Hintergrund an der Wand hängende Bilder ersichtlich
