Perfect impression on cream wove paper (papier vélin) with watermark "Arches". Minimally browned, traces of an old mounting on the back. Fresh colours and in very good condition

Commentaires

One of the most beautiful of all the artist's colour lithographs, created on 3 April 1949 from a painting by his partner Françoise Gilot, with whom he lived during this period in the villa "La Galloise" in Vallauris with their children Claude (born 1947) and Paloma (she was born shortly after the lithograph was created on 19 April 1949). Printed in six colors 1950 at Mourlot in Paris

Erläuterungen

Eine der schönsten aller farbigen Lithographien des Künstlers, entstanden am 3. April 1949 nach einem Gemälde seiner Lebensgefährtin Françoise Gilot, mit welcher er in dieser Zeit mit den gemeinsamen Kindern Claude (geboren 1947) und Paloma (sie wird kurz nach Entstehung der Lithographie am 19.4.1949 geboren) die Villa "La Galloise“ in Vallauris bewohnte. Gedruckt in sechs Farben 1950 bei Mourlot in Paris
