Toned in the paper and with lightstruck area. On the reverse of the mount with a pencil sketch of a round tiled stove

Study for the large painting "Chemiebild. Die neue Zeit" from 1940, which depicts the development of pharmaceutical preparations. It was created on commission from Arthur Stoll, the then director of the company Sandoz.
