Comments

Leo Leuppi was a Swiss painter, graphic artist, and sculptor, as well as a significant representative of the Zurich School of Concrete Art. In 1934, he founded the avant-garde artists' association Groupe Suisse Abstraction et Surréalisme. Three years later, together with Richard Paul Lohse, he co-founded the allianz, an association of modern Swiss artists.

Erläuterungen

Leo Leuppi war ein Schweizer Maler, Grafiker und Plastiker sowie ein bedeutender Vertreter der Zürcher Schule der Konkreten Kunst. 1934 gründete er die avantgardistische Künstlervereinigung Groupe Suisse Abstraction et Surréalisme. Drei Jahre später war er gemeinsam mit Richard Paul Lohse Mitbegründer der allianz, einer Vereinigung moderner Schweizer Künstlerinnen und Künstler.
